Los Angeles Gang Tours

I can't say exactly what I was expecting when I went on the "LA Gang Tour" of South Los Angeles this past Sunday. The Political Correctness Brigade had already lambasted it as exploitative, sight unseen. What I found was, well, surprising. New Year, Not-So-New Clips

I'm going to work on keeping this blog more up to date in 2010, but I've still got to do a bit of catch-up on 2009. So, here are my last two entries to the Los Angeles Magazine Spyglass Blog.

The first one, an impassioned review of an important photography exhibition at LACMA, is definitely worth a look, even though that show came down a few days ago.

The second one is not as special, but it did give me the chance to walk through the door - er, I mean bookcase - into LA's Magic Castle.
